For those who want to stay wet, Sanya is the scuba divers’ heaven due to its clear and warm water, extensive coral reefs and abundant marine life.

Water sports

If you stay in Yalong Bay and Dadonghai, or Sanya bay, all the beachfront hotels offer water sports for the hotel guests such as Jet Ski, Banana boat, etc. You can check and reserve with the hotel recreation office or email us for details.

Scuba diving and Snorkeling Scuba Diving in Sanya is very good in the world, almost as good as in Bali island, Indonesia.There are a number of operations conducting diving trips for visitors, and there are also package tours specifically for scuba divers. If you are traveling independently, and you just want the occasional dive, make sure you bring your scuba certification. Most of the main qualifications are recognized, including those of PADI, NAUI, CMAS. Keen divers might also bring their own mask and regulator, though all the equipment is available for rent.

 

Jenny’s Tip:

1. those who suffer from heart disease, asthma, hypertension and tympanitis cannot engage in diving.
2. Please strictly follow the rule that you should always be accompanied with a coach.

 

We are pleased to recommend you the following places for Scuba diving and snorkeling:

Eastern Pai & Western Pai, which are the best diving sites, takes around 20 minutes from Yalong bay beach. Since both of the 2 sites are not open for travelers yet, the water visibility is the best and the coral reef is the most beautiful. Jenny's recommendation: Western Pai is more beautiful. Eastern Pai Site is good for hard corals, and Western Pai is good for soft corals. Normally the divers will go around 15 meters deep. Queen Bay, which are another diving site and good for fishing. Dadonghai, which is another popular place especially for fresh persons. Water sports and scuba diving will cost less than Western and Eastern Pai. But we still can find out the beautiful underwater world there. Coral Bay has many soft corals and fish, shells, etc.

Wuzhizhou island & West Islet, both for travel groups, and you need to bay the entrance tickets and the round way ferry tickets. So we would not recommend you to dive there.
